February 19th, 2008 - Our first annual KASIA Workshop in Pune, India was a wonderful event for those who attended this one day conference. Anup, one of our KAS list members was kind enough to take pictures, which can be viewed in the Photo Gallery under the KASIA Workshop link. We thank all of you who were able to participate!

I have also upgraded the Upachaya programs in the KAS Visuals section to now include a drag and drop method of putting in the bindus and the planets in order to study the effects of the points on the planets and houses in more detail. You can simply click on the KAS Visuals in the left hand column and go to VISUAL SEVEN.

Also, Manu Batura created a wonderful little animation program for the Upachaya Houses that rotates the patterns around the chart. It is done in the Northern format only however. When you go to VISUAL SEVEN, you will also find this link. Thanks, Manu!

January 22, 2008 - On the 15th of January, I sent out the following post below concerning our upcoming KASIA workshop on Feb 17th, 2008. I had included an attachment that contained all the information needed, but unfortunately, many lists do not allow attachments to be stored in their posts. Also, although the workshop is going to be held in Pune, India, unfortunately, the Pune Airport will be closed from Feb 12th -Feb 26th for construction purposes, so anyone coming in from the outside of the country, please be aware of this and know that your flight will probably be re-routed to Bombay first in which you will then have to take a train to Pune from that point. I am including the attachment for the KASIA Workshop Agenda below to make it easier to access for anyone interested and able to attend. Our new logo is also displayed below.

KAS Institute of Astrology

We have come up with a brand new name for the KAS organization. It will be called KASIA, which stands for the KAS Institute of Astrology.

KASIA will be holding its very first workshop in Pune, India on the 17th of February, 2008.

There will be four speakers, including of course, Krushnaji, then Ash, Manu and Deepak Chipalkatti. The topics that will be covered are listed in the agenda.This may seem to be on short notice, but it was put together in order to specifically coincide with Ash's visit to India so as to take full advantage of his visit and the workshop at the same time.

I would also like to especially thank Manu Batura for assisting me in putting together the information that is included in this KASIA Agenda, which is everything you will need to know if you're interested and able to join them in India for the KASIA workshop.

( BTW, all KAS list members will be entitled to a 10% discount if they can attend the workshop.)

January 9, 2008 - I've added a brand new visual to the list in the KAS Visuals section of the website which shows you how to figure out a Full Saturn Delay and when it will end. Just click on the link at the left under KAS VISUALS and go to VISUAL EIGHT.

Sept 17, 2007 - I have recently programmed and designed a new Ashtakavarga Wheel, which was an original creation of Krushna's, except he used a manual version of it. It is now updated from his original version, to include the Multiplication Factors as well as the Lagna Signs. I have added this wheel to the KAS VISUALS section. So go to VISUAL #6 and read the instructions first on how to use it. Then click on the link and the wheel will open up in a separate window.

August 9, 2006 - The launching of Ash's Corner, a brand new website based on Krushna's Ashtakavarga System! For anyone interested in a professional KAS reading from this excellent KAS astrologer, please go to: www.ashtro.ca

The purpose of this website is to learn and explore the astrological and ancient vedic system of Ashtarkavarga as was taught to Krushna Jugalkalani by his guru, the late Shri BrijGopal Shastri of Amravati, India. (see photo below).

While studying with him, Krushna learned much valuable and ancient information not found in modern textbooks today. He started his studies as an astrologer in 1961 and in 1966, he moved away from his guru and eventually lost all contact with him. Several years had gone by while Krushna had immersed himself in long detailed studies of this ancient system and realized that many of the lessons he had learned from his old guru needed to be studied once again in greater detail. So he returned once more to his native place and was dismayed to discover that his beloved guru had passed on. Because Shri Shastri had married late in life, his children were much too small to appreciate and understand this wonderful science. Since all of his treasures and lessons and knowledge meant nothing to his heirs, they discarded all of it and sold off whatever they could. Krushna was totally disheartened at the thought of it all being destroyed and although much of the knowledge that he had learned from his guru was still in his notes, he felt it was inadequate. However he realized that whatever he did have, was sufficient enough to study and do research on and apply in a totally new direction.

This site is dedicated to Shri BrijGopal Shastri and to the exploration and research study of this system as Krushna learned it throughout his 43 years as an astrologer and has so generously passed it on to those of you out there who are meant to benefit by it.
