Krushna's Biography Page

Krushna Jugalkalani was born on Oct 31, 1943 at 11:29pm in Osiyan, Rajastan, India. He was the 2nd born out of 4 other brothers and 2 sisters. One brother, Kishore, the 4th born, passed away on May 6, 1998. The first born was a son, Kamal, then Krushna, then his sister, Shakuntala. After that, another sister, named Krishna, then a brother named Nand Kishore, and Kishore, the one who passed away. Finally and lastly, a brother named Ashok.

Krushna's father was a cotton merchant who purchased raw cotton, cleaned it, separated the seeds and prepared the bales, later on selling it to the cotton mills for a living. He was a religious and well known businessman in his time and earned himself a good reputation, taking a leading role in starting a school for girls and donating a large sum of money in order to help the school. Krushna's father now has a name plate in his honor on one of the school's classrooms. He later passed away on Nov 17th, 1975. Krushna's mother is still alive and now 84/85 years old and  living with his brother Nand Kishore.

Krushna started studying astrology under the tutorship of his Guru,, ShriBrijGopal Shastri in 1960. At the same time, he went to college for an engineering degree in the city of Vidisha, a district place in Madhya, India in 1961. His studies in astrology continued during his summer vacations and Divali vacations up until November of 1966.

Krushna graduated after 5 years of college and received his engineering degree. He then got a job and became engaged to his future wife, Kamala.

On Nov 13, 1966, he left Amravati for a job in the city of Satara and joined Duty on the 15th of Nov, 1966. He then took a leave of absence from his job and got married to Kamala on May 6th, 1967.

He left his job on July 31, 1967 and started his own small fabrication shop in a rented place.

In 1977, Krushna developed some Construction Machines, such as stone crushers, concrete mixers, etc., and shifted to a larger area in the Industrial Zone on Aug 27th, 1981.

His studies with astrology also continued on his own without any contact from his guru during this time and in 1989, he took an exam and received a "Degree of Jyotish Shastri". He decided to return years later to find his Guru only to discover that during this long time lapse, his beloved Guru had gotten married, had two children and later on passed away. When Krushna enquired about his Guru's books and any literature that he had accumulated during his life, he had been told that all of those things had been disposed of. Although Krushna was deeply saddened by the loss, he returned to Satara and decided teach this system as he had learned it from his guru, and began to conduct workshops in the area. 

In 1990, Krushna joined Maharashtra Jyotish Parishad and participated in seminars and conferences. He called a Jyotish conference in 1994 as the President and had an attendance of over 1500 astrologers from all over India as well as abroad.

During this same year, 1990, Krushna joined the Rotary Club and became its President during the 1993-94 years, starting a school for mentally retarded children, which became a huge success with the other members' help. Now it is a permanent activity of the Rotary Club and Krushna is currently an Honorary member.

In 1995, he joined a company where he designed and manufactored many constructional machines, specializing in V.S.I. Crushers and Sand manufactoring machines, which are the main sellers.

Krushna and Kamala  have 3 children, a daughter, Kawita, born on Sept 19, 1969. A son named Sachin was born to them on June 23, 1972 and another son named Sagar was born on Nov 29, 1973.

Kawita eventually got married in 1994 and passed her B.E. Civil Engineering Degree. Her husband is a Professor at the Engineering College.

In 1997, Krushna's two sons joined him in business, the eldest one Sachin, becoming the Production Executive and the younger Sagar as the Maketing Executive. Both passed their Post graduations.

Due to the heavy workload of his business, it eventually became impossible to continue in this direction of conducting workshops and conferences, so in order to reach more people, he finally decided to open up an internet group on MSN, later on switching to Yahoo Groups, where he then started the 'astrologyandtiming' forum list on July 30, 2000 that exists today with over 400 members.

The whole purpose of this for Krushna is to keep the KAS system alive and well and teach it to others who can then pass it on to those in turn who are meant to benefit from it and not have it die with him. This website will help continue to do that.
